Originating from the vibrant city of Volos, Fading Echoes is emerging as a rising force in the progressive metal scene. Formed in 2019, the band is driven by an insatiable passion to push musical boundaries and create a sonic journey that resonates deeply with the soul.

Additional guitar work on the album "Shadow of Another" is skillfully performed by Jim Politis, who joined as a guest musician. The drums were recorded by Nick Vell, another guest musician. Each member brings a unique set of skills and influences, collectively contributing to the band’s distinctive sound.

BAND HISTORY
United by a shared love for progressive metal and a desire to explore uncharted musical territories, Fading Echoes was born in 2019. The current lineup was strengthened by the addition of musicians Dimitris Politis and Nick Vell, as session musicians and they helped shape the debut album's distinct sound. The band embarked on a musical journey, eager to leave its mark on the progressive metal scene. The recent additions of George and Theoharis, replacing Dimitris Politis and Nick Vell, mark the beggining of a new era for the band, promising a unique experience, both in live and studio settings.

CURRENT PROJECTS
Fading Echoes have released their debut album, Shadow of Another. The album's theme is melancholic and dark, aiming to evoke powerful emotions in the listener. The strengths of this album lie in its compositions, arrangements, and lyrics. The band has approached songwriting in an unusual way, with songs evolving like stories you read in a book. And indeed, they are stories. Five of the songs form the pentalogy "The Stages of Grief", each representing one of the stages: "Denial", "Anger", "Bargaining", "Depression" and "Acceptance".  Three more songs complete the story in this concept album, "The First Step Forward", "Rumination" and the closing "The Final Act". The album promises to offer a unique and immersive musical experience, inviting listeners to delve deep into their emotions through the compositions.
The album was released in July 2024 in both physical and digital formats via the band’s Official Bandcamp. In September 2024, it waw also released worldwide through the label Wormholedeath.

MUSICAL COLLABORATORS
Zak Stevens (Savatage/TSO) graces the track "Acceptance" with his vocals, providing a powerful voice for the climactic conclusion of the "Stages of Grief" pentalogy. The mixing and mastering of Shadow of Another is handled by George Constantine Kratsas, whose expertise enhances the sound quality of Fading Echoes' music.
INFLUENCES
Fading Echoes draws inspiration from the greats of progressive metal, including Savatage, Evergrey, Anathema, Katatonia, Opeth, and Soen. These influences combine to create a sound that sets them apart, blending technical prowess with emotional depth rarely heard.
LABEL
In the spring of 2024, the band signed with Wormholedeath for the physical distribution of their album, gaining the opportunity to leverage the label’s extensive distribution network to reach a wider audience.
